I’m so excited for this most joyful and delicious holiday — the one we lovingly call the “cheesecake chag” . Shavuot is about receiving the Torah, celebrating the harvest, and yes... indulging in all things dairy. Whether you're hosting a full Yom Tov meal or keeping it light and summery, I’ve gathered some fabulous recipes to elevate your Shavuot table.
From creamy cheesecakes to crisp salads, flaky pastries to refreshing drinks, these dishes are all about flavor, freshness, and the joy of sharing.

[ Shavuot Menu Recipes ]
☕ Ice Coffee
Ingredients:
1½ cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
Ice cubes
Milk or cream
Simple syrup or sugar
Instructions:
Fill a glass with ice.
Pour over chilled coffee.
Add milk/cream and sweeten to taste.
Stir and serve.
🌿 Iced Nana (Mint) Tea
Ingredients:
5–6 fresh mint sprigs
4 cups boiling water
1–2 tbsp honey or sugar
Ice
Instructions:
Steep mint in boiling water for 5–7 minutes.
Add sweetener if desired.
Chill and serve over ice.
🥖 Pain d’Epi (Wheat Sheaf Bread)
A delicious decorative pull-apart baguette.
Ingredients:
3½ cups bread flour
1½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2¼ tsp active dry yeast
1¼ cups warm water
Instructions:
Mix ingredients to form a soft dough. Knead 10 min.
Let rise 1–1.5 hours.
Shape into a long baguette. With scissors, snip at a 45° angle every 2" and fold alternate pieces left/right.
Rise 30 min. Bake at 450°F for 20–25 min until golden.
🌿 Rosemary Sourdough
Use your favorite sourdough recipe. Add:
2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary during final stretch and fold.
Optionally brush the crust with olive oil before baking.
🥒 Tzatziki
Ingredients:
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 Persian cucumbers, grated and drained
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ cup chopped fresh dill
½ cup chopped fresh mint
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients.
Chill for 30 min to meld flavors.
Alternatively, blend all in a food processor
🍑 Peach Burrata Summer Salad
Ingredients:
3 ripe peaches, sliced
1 ball Burrata or fresh mozzarella
Arugula or baby greens
toasted pine nuts
Balsamic Dressing
Ingredients:
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
In a small bowl or jar, whisk together balsamic vinegar, mustard, and honey.
Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking to emulsify.
Season with salt and pepper. Adjust sweetness or acidity to taste.
Instructions:
Arrange greens and peaches.
Tear Burrata and place over salad.
Sprinkle pine nuts. Drizzle with dressing
🌽 Charred Corn, Avocado, Dill & Lime Salad
Ingredients:
2 ears corn, charred and kernels cut off
1 avocado, diced
Cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp chopped dill
Kale
Juice of 1 lime
Olive oil, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Combine corn, avocado, cherry tomatoes, dill and kale.
Drizzle lime juice and olive oil. Season to taste.
🥔 Roasted Potato Poutine 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Ingredients:
2 lbs baby potatoes, halved
Olive oil, salt, pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 cup warm mushroom or onion gravy
Instructions:
Roast potatoes at 425°F for 30–40 min.
Transfer to a platter, top with cheese, then pour hot gravy.
Garnish with chives or parsley.
🧅 Caramelized Onion & Oak-Smoked Cheddar Tartlettes
Use frozen mini tart shells. Yields about 15 of them.
Filling:
2 onions, caramelized with 1 tbsp butter + pinch of sugar
2 eggs
½ cup milk
½ cup grated oak-smoked cheddar
Salt, pepper, thyme
Instructions:
Fill tart shells with onion.
Pour over egg/cheese mixture.
Bake at 350°F for 20–25 min until set.

🐟 Pistachio-Crusted Salmon
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets
½ cup chopped pistachios
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp honey
Lemon zest, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Mix olive oil, mustard, honey lemon zest, salt and pepper. Brush on salmon.
Press chopped pistachios onto salmon.
Bake at 400°F for 12–15 min.

🍓 Fresh Fruit Platter
Use seasonal berries, melon, cherries, apricots, grapes, and mint sprigs for garnish.

🍇 Reva’s Classic Cheesecake with Fruit Compote
Ingredients:
1 lb. cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup flour
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in blender or mixer.
Place in 2 graham cracker crusts and bake at 350 degrees for 35- 40 minutes.
Compote:
2 cups berries (fresh/frozen)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions:
Simmer berries, sugar, and lemon for 10–15 min.
Cool and spoon over chilled cheesecake.
