Beer Bread - A MaMenu Signature

A true rustic beauty.

Recipe:

3 cups flour
 
1⁄4 cup sugar

1 tbsp. baking powder
 
1 tsp salt
 
1 (12 ounce) can beer
 

 
2 tbsp. oil

Yields: 1 loaf

Preheat oven to 375°. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and whisk together. Add beer, and mix until fully incorporated. Use your hands or mixing spoon to form a ball of dough.
 


 
Place dough into a greased loaf pan, and pour the oil and spread evenly over the dough.
 
Bake for 1 hour, remove from pan and cool.
 

 
*Add olives, cheese or herbs for variations to this bread.

**If preferred, shape as buns, or bake in ramekins or cupcake holders, and bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
